About Pye Acres

_DSC9737

This is a BLOG many years in the making.

In the fall of 2006, we bought 138 acres of outdoor heaven. The property has a mix of hardwoods, softwoods and rolling pastures and meadows. Stone fences, a pond, a row of massive century old maples and historic log barn give this property breathtaking character. It’s first official severance paperwork dates back to the late 1800’s. Cathy and I are the third owners.

Putting aspirations for a custom home on hold until the dream of having a family was achieved — enter Charlie & Jack — the time came for a home on Pye Acres.

On May 31, 2012, we broke ground on a dream. This is where we’ll try to journal and share the adventure.

Thanks for following my Blog.

  1. What a cool idea for a blog, I love it! We had our house built – wow, now it has been five years ago – the time does fly!- and we documented practically everyday in pictures even from the staking off of the perimeter, and after seeing your blog, I wish I had an interest in blogging back then. This is a great find and I am looking forward to following along with your building adventure. Best wishes!

Thanks for following REJOICE. I’m a newbie Blogger. While I don’t have the skills to build the home, building the new home documentary (via Blogging) helps me feel like I’m doing more than just signing the bank documents and picking out kitchen cupboards. It’s the best way to answer, “hey, how’s the house coming along.” Go to the blog! I’ll enjoy keeping up with your blog as well. Don’t ask me how I stumbled upon it. It too is a good find. (Yep, we have the stakes in the ground photos too)

Robert — This is by far the best personal Blog I’ve ever seen. What a dream! The property is a piece of heaven — and the house looks like it will compliment the property exceptionally well. Your kids seem to be thoroughly enjoying it allready.

Congratulations to you and your family!

    Alex
