Our first garden

We’re getting down and dirty to transform a century old livestock paddock into our first garden. With decades of manure rich soil, it’s a great place for growing some tasty produce. The tilling is complete. A selection of potatoes, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and pumpkins will be planted soon.

Good luck! When we moved to our current home there was a huge garden just waiting for vegetables, but absolutely no nutrients in the soil. My horses have since helped on that front and we enjoy having fresh food all summer long.

Thanks for the comment. The soil looks great. I unearthed lots of farm equipment artifacts. I’ll blog about our garden progress this summer.

  3. I want a garden this big! Mine is small but I also want someone to come till it for me too πŸ™‚
